Questions & Answers

machine runs in low speed if I try to accelerate it stops. drive gears or transmission?
Roger for model number 24A-070h799 asked on 2022-11-27
Hello Roger, An engine that hesitates when accelerating is either sucking too much air, not getting enough fuel, or misfiring. We hope this helps.

I removed the wheels, how do I remove the drive gear?
Roger for model number 24-a070H799 asked on 2022-11-27
Hello Roger, thank you for your inquiry. We have a testimonial from a previous customer who has posted how he did it. We hope this is of some help. Removed both wheels hold rod that spins the wheels with adjustable wrench, remove bolts that hold the wheels and replace the gears and put it all back and that's it. Just remember you have a left and right gear, letters are engraved in the gears, L and R.

Drive wheels would not pull mower in self propel mode.
Removed right wheel no problem. Left wheel gear screw rusted and would not come out of drive shaft with torx bits. Drilled out old screw and re-taped drive shaft. Replaced drive gear and installed new torx screw. From there on no problem. Replaced spark plug, drive belt and changed oil.
