You might need a set of orifice pins to clean the small holes in the jest and emulsifier tube. These are tool steel pins with highly accurate diameters that you match to the orifice holes. Small diameter wires or sewing needles can also be used.

Broken spark plug boot and gummed carb

2. Screw new boot on spark plug wire.
3. Place boot on spark plug.
4. Remove air filter.
5. Remove fuel line from carb using needle nose pliers.
6. Remove front two nuts from plastic cover.
7. Remove bolt on rear of plastic cover.
8. Remove cover.
9. Remove carb.
10. Replace carb and gaskets in reverse order.
Gas deposit buildup around shaft and in carburetor bowl, causing motor to run wide open.

2. Carburetor was removed and taken apart. throttle was sticking in the open position due to gas deposit build up on the shaft.
3. Soaked the carburetor in cleaner for thirty minutes and put back together, re-installed on motor.
4. Motor started up fine and idle like it should.
The new blend of gas is really hard on small engine because of deposit from the gasoline. In my case the large pump is only used once or twice a year and just set in the shop on a shelf. It 's eight year old and looks new. Honda makes a very good motor, not a design problem, it a !!GAS!! problem.
