    Devil's in the details
The big pieces are the easy parts (pun intended.) MOST big pieces, though, require other little pieces. eReplacments makes it easy to NOT miss those! The carburetor itself was simple to order and, along with this gasket, arrived quickly. In only a few minutes after the package arrived my Honda GX engine was back to proper operation.

    Ordered 2 carb gaskets
One paper gasket had shrunk with age and didn't fit well.. Also shipping and handling cost more than 2 little paper gaskets. The shipping time for these small things took way too long for the price of the items.

It won't start. The battery is fine. I can start it by manually pulling the cord. But the ignition switch won't start it. Oil good, spark plug good, gasoline is good. filters are all clean. Is it the ignition?

You might need a set of orifice pins to clean the small holes in the jest and emulsifier tube. These are tool steel pins with highly accurate diameters that you match to the orifice holes. Small diameter wires or sewing needles can also be used.

After numerous attempts to locate leak, determined it was due to worn gasket on fuel bowl. Also replaced worn gasket on manifold although unrelated to leak. This would not have been possible without the ereplacement.com website. The parts diagrams are excellent in determining parts needed. OUTSTANDING!!!! This is my go-to site for parts and relavent information. Thanks

    1. Had to remove the pump from the frame. Carburetor could not be removed from motor without hitting the frame.
    2. Carburetor was removed and taken apart. throttle was sticking in the open position due to gas deposit build up on the shaft.
    3. Soaked the carburetor in cleaner for thirty minutes and put back together, re-installed on motor.
    4. Motor started up fine and idle like it should.
The new blend of gas is really hard on small engine because of deposit from the gasoline. In my case the large pump is only used once or twice a year and just set in the shop on a shelf. It 's eight year old and looks new. Honda makes a very good motor, not a design problem, it a !!GAS!! problem.
