We are a Sears Family = Riding mower, tiller, and wood chipper.

Each one has same gas tank cap

Lost the mower gas cap - filled tank and forgot to replace cap. The tiller cap just seemed to fall apart - the center part broke away.

shipment arrived - put new cap on tiller and new cap on chipper and have one spare cap. BIG THANK YOU FOR SOLVING MY PROBLEM

Gas cap replacement was simple; no explanation needed.
Removing the carburetor was also straightforward and I took a couple of pictures before I started so I had a good idea of how it should look after all was completed.Since I bought a complete new carb the replacement was straight forward although I had to reuse 2 gaskets that did not come with the new carb. One was the air intake filter frame to carb gasket and the other was the carb spacer block to cylinder head gasket. Both of my old ones were in reasonably reusable condition so not a big deal (I will replace them at a later date).
Tip - be careful when disconnecting the throttle rod and spring. Note how it was before you disassemble (picture). Unbolt the carb from the cylinder head, then disconnect the rod and spring. This will require a little juggling of the carb. but it is not difficult. Reassemble in reverse order.
