  • Perfect replacement
Part is listed as plastic, however, the replacement was made of metal which is better than the original plastic one. Great replacement part for the price.

Part worked fine. Nothing is easy anymore when your in your 70's.
the only complaint I have is that it took a little longer to be shipped, That's acceptable in todays world. I would recommend ereplacementparts.com!
    Guest - April 21, 2021 Verified Purchase
    it was the correct part
it took the pony express to get here. I ordered 2 more parts elsewhere, at later dates and both arrived before the pulley. Held me up for 2 weeks.

I was concerned the pulley was a 3/4" width, and the old one was 1/2", however the larger one works just fine, plus it is a metal one instead of the plastic one that was originally on it.

the drive belt pulley failed and would no longer spin.

    1. The rear wheels have to be removed and the back plate removed by removing the four bolts holding it to the back of the frame. Put The Tractor On Secure Stands While Working Underneath It!!! Loosen the nut securing the belt guide and lift the opposite side of the guide from the hole that it sits in. This does not have to be done if you are not replacing the belt. It is highly recommended that you inspect the belt closely. replacing the belt would be a good idea.
    2. removed drive belt and pulley. To remove the pulley I used the pry bar and socket set. the pulley is mounted on a spring loaded arm that has to be pryed towards the inside of the tractor frame.
    2. installed pulley using pry bar and socket set. The arm has to be pried as above to get pulley on the bolt.
    3. installed the drive belt using the pry bar to move the arm the pulley sets on.
    4. ran the tractor before putting the wheels and back plate on so I could watch the belt and pulley operate. Then installed the back plate and wheels and took it for a spin.
    5. The hardest part is prying the arm for access to the pulley.

Removed the drive belt and then removed the two pulleys that were bad. Replaced the pulleys and the drive belt. Just remember which pulley goes where since they are different. Access to one of the bolts was a bit difficult as well as being under the raised mower was not ideal. Otherwise it was a relatively simple replacement. Far better than paying a mechanic $75 an hour to do the same thing.
