Easy repair for buddy Jake. Part was exactly what was broken. Installed easily, runs great. Only negative was that part took about 2 weeks to receive. But we knew that going in.

Packaging was just so so. The brake band was bent but I was able straighten it out so it would work properly. Not a huge deal. Stuff happens. It worked great after that. Super fast shipping.

Make sure the spring is in deactivated position when you try to replace the finger guard and brake handle .
1 When the new part arrives it will be in the activated position.
    2. Work the brake handle as you place the new part in its normal position.
    3. When the handle connects with the brake handles proper slots pull it back to deactivate the spring .
When this happens you have to replace the screws in the cover. then continue with replacing the rest of the clutch parts as shown in the diagram which comes with the new brake assembly.
This procedure can be a real pain if it doesn't connect properly but don't let it get you down it usually is really simple just takes a little understanding of the parts.

Safety glasses on (you're working with a spring).

Removed old assembly. Installed per directions. Once the drum is on, you do need to move the lever, to seat the new brake assembly. Good idea to watch e-replacement's video, before you install.

The day started off like most others...coffee, a bagel, endless scrolling of the internet. This particular morning I was examining how my childhood stars of the 1980s looked today when I unexpectedly heard an alert from my Ring doorbell. Could it be? Twas! The postman with my chain brake kit! Oh the joy!! Now, I must digress as say that I'm embarrassed to even own a Poulan chainsaw, because in the chainsaw family, it's a Husqvarna, but it's like the Hunter of the Biden family or the Fairfield Inn of the Marriott chain.....not the proudest member by any means. I bought this Poulan online while bored during COVID lockdowns. I kept a constant search for listing that read, "can't get it to start" or "for parts only." I took it as a challenge for some small engine repair. I got this Poulan along with another (the purple and green Wild Thing.....don't get me started on the naming convention or color scheme....total fail) for $50. It was like a Joseph A. Banks suit deal.....buy one crappy suit for $50 get six for free. Anyway, the repair----changed out the fuel lines, adjusted the carb and it ran like a (cake) boss, except the chain brake didn't work. Insert a very easy and quick order from erplacementparts and a quick watching of their video and I had it installed in less than 10 minutes. I went out a few days ago and ran the chainsaw through two tanks of gas and the chain brake had zero issues. The only problem is that I now have a working Poulan that I just don't really like to bring out in case any of my friends with Stihls, Echos or Huskys see me, so I'm eyeing an old Husky 45 in need of a few ereplacementparts so I'll be back soon. Please don't make me end this review or I have to go back and talk to my family in the other room.....this COVID has been very taxing on my sanity. Only reprieve is a little small engine repair and Kim's Connivence on Netflix. Thank you erplacementparts.....you're my pandemic hero!
