The purpose of this cable is to stop the blade when the control handle is released on walk-behind lawn mowers. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please note one durable metal rubber insulated cable is included per order.

The "safety bail" on the handle is connected to the engine on Weedeater & Husquarvna mowers. The cable rusts and prohibits the engine from starting (turning over). The cable is simply disconnected at both ends, and replaced. The problem is immediately fixed. A $15 fix instead of buying a $250 mower!

1. Using pliers, opened throttle all the way and secured open with a zip tie.
2. Removed seized throttle cable from side of engine and throttle bar.
3. Installed new throttle cable on engine and connected to throttle bar.
4. Removed zip tie that was holding throttle open.
5. Test function.
