This authentic replacement traction cable is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use on Toro lawn mowers. The traction cable engages drive wheels on the lawn mowers. It is connected to the traction bail and then attached to the traction bracket near the transmission. Please note, this cable is sold individually.
To complete this repair you will need a socket wrench set.
• Note the position of the old traction cable
• Remove the nut and washer securing the cable to the bracket
• Slip out the end of the cable from the traction control handle
• Release the old traction cable from where it is secured
• Move the machine on its side if the cable is secured beneath the machine
• Release the spring bolt from the transmission bracket
• Pull the old traction cable out
• Secure the new cable in place
• Reassemble and test the unit
