Product Information

Description:

This replacement brake cable is an authentic item that is supplied from original equipment manufacturer for use with Toro lawn mowers. The purpose of this cable is to stop the blade when the control handle is released on walk-behind mowers. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please note this durable rubber insulated metal cable is sold individually. Replacing it is a simple task that does not require any tools.

Throttle linkage cable broke

1. Removed old broken linkage cable
2. Attached new linkage cable. Attachment mechanism is simple and robust.
3. Start the mower.... works like a champ!

Brake and traction cables broken.

1. Removed brake cable using pliers. No adjusting necessary for this cable.

2. Removed traction cable using 7/16" wrench and pliers.

3. Replaced with new cable. Adjusted tension using the 7/16" wrench.

4. Both cables took less than 30 minutes to replace. Very easy repair.
