Product Description ?

This is a genuine manufacturer-approved replacement push-rod which is used with Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The push rod rides on the camshaft to push the exhaust valve open during the exhaust stroke. A bent push-rod can not only affect your engine's performance, it can seriously damage other parts if the problem is not taken care of immediately. This high-quality part is made of durable metal and it is sold individually.

After trying several things (checking fuel supply and electrical , and consulting with my friend an neighbor, we thought it might be that the timing was out. We removed the head and then saw that the intake push rod had broken. The head removal was easy enough, as was putting in the new rod. but adjusting the rocker arm was tricky and touchy but the neighbor got it close enough so that it started and with minor adjustments it is now running quite well.
