This original Presto part is used on many models of pressure cookers. This Cover Handle is made of a hard plastic and includes a screw for instillation. This Handle is used on the lid of the pressure cooker. The Handle should be replaced if it has broken or fits loosely on the lid. This Cover Handle is normally purchased with the Body Handle (part number 85450). A Philips head screwdriver is used to install this part.

my Presto pressure cooker is probably close to 40 years old and works great, but the handle was jiggly because of the ill-fitting screws that attached it--they had loosened over the years. the replacement handle is a perfect fit, so it is not jiggly any more.

Installation instructions were provided with the handle. But completely unnecessary as the repair was obvious. Remove two screws from the old handle and use the new ones provided with the new one.
