    Tiny part for Big job
I needed this for my pressure canner. When ordering, our power went out, and I didn’t think it went through. I tried again, and placed the order. Then the emails said I had two orders. I was happy they caught it, and cancelled one order for me. Thank you! Fast & easy to order with. Great customers phone service too!!

Installed new lid seal, pressure guage and safety plugs. When new lid seal is replaced it makes it tough to close lid but that's a good thing, you have a good tight seal.

Removed the old gasket and plug, and put the new parts in place. The regulator was corroded so I replaced that also. My pressure cooker is at least 20 years old so I was very pleased to be able to replace the pressure regulator and the dried out gasket and plug, and not have to purchase a new pressure cooker.

Canner and pressure cooker had dried/old rubber parts

    Doris - October 2, 2017
👍 1 of 5 people found this instruction helpful
THESE WEREN'T FOR A RICE COOKER!!!!! They were for a pressure canner and a daily use pressure cooker!

Just remover hardened rubber parts and replaced. Then also replaced pressure gauge on canner and both got new gaskets. Very easy repairs. Bought extra rubber gaskets to have on hand because can't find them close to me. Just used screw driver and pliers. Parts were easily switched just had to make sure new pressure gauge was good and tight.
