This OEM mandrel assembly is a genuine replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is designed for use with riding lawn mowers. Sold individually, this tall-style mandrel includes the housing, shaft assembly, bearing, and nut. Please note that the pulley, washer, blade bolt, and washers are not included. The mandrel is the component to which the mower blade attaches and is mounted to the mower deck using four bolts. The mounting holes on the mandrel are not threaded; however, the bolts used are self-tapping to ensure a secure fit. For proper installation, the spacer must be positioned underneath the pulley. Installing the spacer on top—or omitting it entirely—can result in damage to the shaft and pulley. The mandrel shaft passes through the deck, where the pulley is attached, and the drive belt is then routed around the pulley to power the blades.

Hello John, thank you for your question. The correct part is 587819701. The housing mounting holes for mandrel assembly aren't threaded; use the included self-tapping bolts to attach the housing to the tractor deck. We are pleased to have been able to help.
