This genuine part is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer. The blade is designed for use with Husqvarna and Poulan riding lawn mowers and garden tractors. Mulching blades are designed to circulate the grass longer so it can be cut into smaller pieces. This makes your grass clippings better as mulch since the smaller clippings will decompose more quickly, releasing their nutrients into the soil. Refer to the owners manual of your model for the correct installation. To replace it, you will need a wrench to secure and remove the bolt that holds the blade.

I removed the deck completely from the craftsman lawn tractor. Removed all damaged parts from the mower deck with the necessary tools making sure to take a cell phone picture prior to disassembly. FYI, I did not realize the mandrel assembly was not threaded at the 4 points where you attach the mandrel to the deck with the washer head scre
... Read morews. Don\'t panic though, because the washer head screws self-thread into the mandrel assembly making for a very firm attachment. This project was a little more time consuming because the old mandrel assembly had sheared off at 3 points and the broken pieces under the washer head screws were troublesome to remove. Liquid wrench helped with the removal though. FYI, make sure you don\'t forget to put the spacer on top of the mandrel before you attach the pulley to the top of the mandrel. All new parts went together very nicely on re-assembly. I re-attached the deck to the Lawn tractor. I started the mower and it worked flawlessly.
