How to install Flange bushing into frnt wheel
Ivan - October 27, 2023

Hello Ivan, thank you for your question. We have a testimonial on our site that says how to do it. " I took the front wheel off after receiving the parts. The bad bearing had to be pounded out from the wheel housing using a chisel and hammer. This was done carefully so as to not scar the inside of the wheel housing. A shot of WD-40 helped release the bearing along with the gentle hammering. The new bearing was inserted and pressed into place using the hammer and wood block. Once the bearing was in, I lubricated the inside of the wheel housing with a standard grease gun using the wheel grease fitting. I was then able to slip the wheel on the shaft and place the two appropriate washers on the shaft and complete the job with the placement of the locking clip." We hope this helps.

problems when one of the front wheels gets uneven it loses steering.
Mary For model number 288720 - March 16, 2023

Hi Mary, Thank you for your question. If your lawn tractor loses steering when the front wheels get uneven, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. We recommend checking the bearings, the gears, the shafts, the spindles, the washers, the bushings and the linkages. We have included a link from our website that you may reference on how to check these parts, https://www.ereplacementparts.com/repair-center/lawn-equipment/lawn-tractor/won't-steer-correctly/. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!

1. Didn\'t know exactly how to match parts, so I jacked the front of the mower up and braced on blocks with both wheels off ground; took off the left front wheel to find which parts were needed. Searched for parts on the web and ereplacements had the parts and with pictures. This was a great help to know I was getting the right parts. Al so, the tutorials of others who had had replaced the same parts was a big help.
2. Cleaned the axle shaft and left front wheel parts, regreased all pieces and put back together.
3.Did the same with the right wheel using new parts.
Not a hard job. This is an old mower passed down from others. Did not realize how much the front axle and parts were in need of greasing.
