This is an authentic Bostitch replacement part used on specific Nailers. This is a Rubber Ring and it is sold individually. O-rings are designed to withstand thousands of pounds of pressure by creating a seal between two or more parts.
Disassemble the main cylinder and inspect for wear or broken parts. I found the o-ring groove on the head valve piston broken and very brittle. Original was made of a black material. Would try to drive nail but would not retract to pick up next nail. Found plastic HD valve piston shattered.
Removed top cap, pulled out valve piston. Then cleaned out the gun of all the broken pieces of the broken valve piston.Then I installed the new valve and the new o-rings. Works like new.
Removed trigger valve and replaced it with new trigger valve.
Tested nailer to find that it still failed to fire.
Removed top of cylinder.
Removed old Hd. Valve piston.
Observed old part had chipped side.
Removed old exhaust cover that had fallen apart.
Installed new exhaust cover.
Installed O-Rin

Nailer passed test by firing brad into wood.
Removed the top cap of the nail gun

Driver pin was broken and trigger valve was leaking
Remove the four screws from the top cap and remove it. Remove what is left of the head valve piston and clean out the entire cylinder. Oil the internal parts.
