    Original Guard Assembly warped due to years of frequent use. .

    1. Removed the battery from the trimmer.
    2. Used a medium-tipped Phillips screw driver to remove the guard assembly retaining screw
    from the trimmer motor housing.
    3. Used a flat-head screw driver to depress the plastic retainer clip (located next to the screw).
    4. Removed the guard assembly.
    5. Installed new guard assembly (make sure that the plastic retainer clip snaps into place and
    the Phillips head screw hole is aligned).

    Remove old cover and install new. One screw. Couldn't be easier, perfect fit. Old cover lasted about 10 years. Great price - perfect fit - very fast delivery. Thank you ereplacementparts.

    I followed the directions that came with the new guard and very shortly I was back in business, less than 15 minutes. I simply slid the old guard out its slots and slid the new guard in the slots.
