It is placed between the spool and the spool cover.

After receiving the parts from here I was able to get the weed eater fixed and back on go we chewing up the weeds around the fence lines on my property it was great fix quick and easy but a little expensive on the ship inside there was no wild place to buy want the parts I still think it was a little high for the shipping and fixing it was great and it was cheaper than going by in a new weed eater!
