This genuine item is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Ridgid drill drivers. The chuck helps to secure a drill bit, unfortunately, over time it may wear out, may get damaged or lost eventually requiring a replacement. This is a keyless chuck allowing for a fast and easy exchange of bits. Please make sure to refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component. Keep in mind the screw to secure this chuck is sold separately.

    Ridgid cordless 18 volt drill with Chuck that would not hold drill bits secure

    Screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench, Allen wrenches, soddering iron,hack saw

    Way too much locktite used from factory. Had to use soldering iron to loosen up glue before breaking loose. I do not recommend this change unless you do not wish to reuse old chuck. Had to cut plastic outer on chuck for removal.
