First. The fan broke because I did not unwrap the air hose around the space between the tank and compressor motor. When I started it up the fan hit the hose. Second. I was delighted to find I could get a replacement fan as getting parts for older models can be difficult. I bought this Sears unit in 1996. The repair was easy, a bolt and a couple of panel screws.
