This safety valve is a genuine replacement part manufactured for use with air compressors. If the compressor's pressure switch malfunctions and does not turn the motor off when the amount of pressure is met, the safety valve will open to release the extra air pressure. The amount of pressure required to open the safety valve is set by the tension of the spring inside the valve. The spring can wear out, and leave the valve open at a lower pressure than what is set to turn the switch off, and will not allow pressure to build inside the tank. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component. Keep in mind this high-quality part is made of durable metal and is sold individually.

Removed old valve and secure the new on in its place. Make sure you disconnect the compressor and bleed the air from the tank before replacing the valve!

Remove the two screws on the motor to tank connections. Remove the hose clamp on the regulator assembly. Remove the regulator assembly in its entirety. Install the new pressure gauges, pressure relief valve on the regulator assembly and install on the tank. Insert the clamp on the pressure hose from tank to regulator and connect to the regulator assembly. Reinstall the motor assembly onto the tank brackets and plug the compressor into electrical power and check for leaks and pressure build to the maximum pressure designated by the manufacturer.
