This Trigger switch has 4 terminals and a locking mechanism for the switch. This genuine Makita replacement part is sold individually.

Switches are commonly replaced parts in tools. A switch handles on/off and variable speed operations. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity.
