Product Description ?

This genuine replacement power supply cord is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with Makita power tools. It connects to a standard outlet to provide power for the tool. Over time cords can develop kinks and crack requiring replacement. The cord protector is not included, it is sold separately. Please note, this rubber insulated cord is sold individually.

Replacing this power cord i a simple task that should only require a screwdriver.

• Remove the housing
• Disconnect the wires of the old cord
• Remove the old power cord
• Secure the new cord through the cord protector
• Connect the wires
• Reassemble and test the tool

    Screwdriver, wire crimp & cut

    1. Removed side handle cover
    2. Disconnected old cord from trigger and ground lug, removed trigger
    3. Removed strain relief clamp
    4. Removed cord guard
    5. Went to hardware store to buy 3 non-insulated connector eyes
    6. Stripped wire ends and crimped connectors
    7. Reversed disassembly above.

    This cord does not come with non-insulated connectors or stripped wire and exposed strain relief loop. There are no part numbers for crimp connectors needed.

    Worn cord and missing spring

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Wire crimpers.

    Spring
    1. Take blade off. Hook spring to the holes on the saw in two places.
    2. Put blade back on.
    Cord
    1. Take all of the screws out of the handle area (6).
    2. Take handle cover off
    3. Take old cord out making sure of what wire goes to what terminal.
    4. You will need to have round wire connector ends to put on the new cord.
    5. Take off cord protector from old cord and put on to new cord.
    6. Re connect new cord wires to terminal.
    7. Put saw back together.
