This an OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Echo backpack blowers. This is the complete air cleaner kit which will filter out dust and debris from the air entering the carburetor. This assembly includes the plastic cleaner base and the cover. Please note, the pleated paper filter element is sold separately.
Replacing this cleaner case is a simple task that should only require a screwdriver.
• Remove the thumb bolts that secure the cover
• Remove the cover and the filter element
• Remove bolts that hold the base
• Replace the old cleaner base with a new one
• Secure with a plate and the screws
• Secure the element and the cover

Removed the engine, and gas tank, took of the padding and straps. Removed the bolts that holds the 2 frame pieces together, because new bolts must have been another part, that I didn't order. Installed the old bolts, re-installed the gas tank and motor, then padding and straps.
Took off the air cleaner case, and replace it and the filter with the new parts.
Note the bolts from the motor through the top of the frame are held only by the plastic frame towards the operator when worn, when tightening them they pulled through the frame. I added washers around those bolts and its holding great.
