    1. Removed outer covers
    2. Remove pulleys to fan
    3. Fan was melted to fan cover
    4. Replace fan and cover

    Planer exhaust fan was broken

    Removed the exhaust cover and fan cover using Allen wrench and screwdriver.
    Unscrewed and removed broken fan.
    Maneuvered fan into housing, aligned it with bolt housing and screwed it in.
    Replaced fan cover and exhaust cover.

    2. Remove dust hood and fan cover
    3. Remove damaged fan and discard
    4. Replace new fan
    5. Reassemble fan cover and dust hood

    Exhaust fan brok from large chip of wood

    Hemove exhaust port. Remove upper fan housing. Remove old fan. Installing new fan may take some wiggling, but it will fit. A bit of dry lubricant may help it slide in easier. Assembly is reverse order. Parts were a perfect match for a Ridgid R4331 Planer.

    Screwdriver, Allen hex key. Same as the one for blades.

    Remove screws remove fan shroud. Remove screw in center of fan. Remove fan. install new fan requires flexing of blades and turning into the space. replace fan retaining screw and shroud. Install shroud screws.
