Product Description ?

This is a genuine Husqvarna, Poulan and Jonsered part for use with Lawn Tractor Mowers. The baffle attaches under the mower deck and directs glass clippings out the discharge chute. The most common reason for replacing the baffle is when it is damaged. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to install the baffle are a 12mm wrench, 12mm socket, T-40 Torx bit and a flat head screwdriver.

    Lifted the riding lawnmower with a jack and jack stand from the rear.
    Put the deck at level 6
    Unscrew the old broken baffle
    Use new screws and nuts and replace the baffle on the lawnmower deck.

    Tractor off and brake set
    deck set to lowest position
    decl remover and lifted up on its edge
    all baffle nuts and bolts removed.
    new nuts and bolts used to attach the baffles on the lower portion of the deck
    deck was replaced on the mower and works perfectly.

    1. Removed old bolts and part.
    2. Cleaned the deck area with wire brush and rag.
    3. Using the new bolts and nuts, mounted the replacement part on the mower deck.

    1. Removed the mower deck.
    2. Removed the pulleys, removed the mandrel housing, removed the baffles, removed the clean out attachment
    3. Reinstalled the mandrel housing, the pulleys, the baffles, clean out the attachment on the new mower deck.
    4. Reinstalled the new mower deck.

    Removed deck from under tractor. Replaced broken baffle. Installed new belt. Put deck back under tractor. Replaced broken belt guide by engine pulley. Finished putting belt on engine pulley. Then started cutting grass

    The parts were very easy to identify on your diagram and very reasonable and arrived quickly. The only problem is in the tractor itself - and in getting to the area to replace the part. If you have this on a lift, you're fine. I worked by laying on the ground and having my wife raise and lower the mower deck.
