It is used to house the chain tensioner which is included in this assembly along with the plastic cover itself. Please note this assembly is sold individually, to replace it you will need a wrench set and pliers.

    Removed the two nuts holding the cover on. Removed cracked cover. Replaced with new cover and tightened chain.

    Chain adjustment was broken and I decided to replace the entire cover rather then the adjusting key

    Basically put the bar and the chain back on the saw, adjusted the tension and secured two nuts that hold it all in place.

    Cover broke/cracked

    Easy. Removed broken cover. Placed the cover over clutch assembly, aligned the two holes over the bolts. Used wrench to tighten nuts on the bolts. Used screwdriver to adjust the tension on saw blade. Ready to use!

    Removed two nut from the clutch cover assembly, and removed it. Placed the new clutch cover assembly on the saw, and tightened the nuts. Works great

    Broken assy clutch and missing clutch cover

    Pliers, Socket set

    Removed the c-clip, washer and sprocket, removed the broken clutch. Screwed the new assy clutch on tightened it with a pliers and then I put the clutch cover on and used a socket to tighten the nuts down that hold the cover on. The Parts were exactly what i needed. Easy 10 minute fix it went good. Thank you
