This is an authentic OEM replacement part for Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, and Yardman Tiller/Edgers and Cultivators. The purpose of the air filter is to separate any dust and debris before entering the carburetor and engine. Over time the filter will get clogged and dirty eventually requiring replacement to keep your model running at its peak performance. This foam filter is an individually sold part. A screwdriver is required for this repair.

$.50 to manufacture. I also replaced the air filter by opening the cover and taking out the old and in with the new one after applying a little motor oil to the new one to distribute the oil evenly throughout and removing excess oil by squeezing it in a paper towel.
I have not used the brushes yet. They are for a different tool which is somewhat more complicated, but not as urgent.
I was extremely pleased that I was able to get the parts that I needed and in a timely manner. Thank you for your prompt service. You might also like to know that I had ordered the brushes from Sears but they sent the wrong size twice and then I was unable to get them to reverse their charge to my account.
