Product Description ?

This cable-traction is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer. It is specially designed for use with Toro lawn mowers. The traction cable engages drive wheels on the equipment. Over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement. It is connected to the bail and then attached to the traction bracket near the transmission. Refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation. One durable rubber insulated cable is included. You may need pliers and a wrench set to disconnect the old part and attach the new one.

Easy repair thanks to yur video
I am a woman of the age of 75 and sometimes do things for myself. Had to put the traction control on and watched the video how to do it. Wasn't hard at all. Thought I did something wrong getting it to work but it was me. Connected the bolt on the handle wrong but figured it out. If I can do it anyone can! Working great now!

Drive cable to front drive wheels broke adjacent to the handle/control bar

    Lawn Mower

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Adjustable Wrench, Extension wrenches

The casing that covers the traction unit at front of lawn mower is difficult to remove since the retaining screws are on the underside of the mower casing and you need extension bars for the socket set.
Toros design of the casing leaves one wondering who designed this.. Neither friendly or accessible. The replacement parts were great and I have no hesitation recommending e-replacement parts for similar and older equipment.
    Thanks guys!
