Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM approved starter spring which is specially designed for use with handheld lawn and garden equipment. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty component that was installed on a new unit. The purpose of this spring is to retract the starter assembly on the engine, so it engages the drive cup on the flywheel to start the engine when pulled. This high-quality spring is made of durable metal and is sold individually. Please make sure to check the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this item.

Not well taken care of chain saw. Replaced the rope which was too short (Poulan Pro Model 222) and discovered the recoil spring was defective due to owner fiddling. Once that was done discovered the fuel lines were all broken and rotted replaced those with new fuel filter. Checked the exhaust screen which was OK. Installed a chain tensioner since the tensioner installed on the bar doesn't tighten the chain enough. Tried to start the saw and discovered the carb was so maladjusted that I had to put the carb L and H and idle back to baseline which is 1 1/2 turns from in. Once started was able to adjust the idle, L and H speed jets.
Nice saw but so messed up by those that have no clue that it made the saw 3 times harder to figure out.
