Product Description ?

This is a genuine replacement part that is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer. It is the part that houses the jackshaft that mower blade attache to. It is mounted to the deck of the mower by four bolts which are sold separately. You will need a wrench set to remove the old spindle assembly and secure the new one.     Socket set, Wrench Set, Soft mallet

    Removed the deck. Removed the blade assembly. Removed the nut from the spindle pulley. Removed four self threading bolts from the spindle casting. Tapped the spindle out of the spindle assembly with a soft mallet. Then tapped the spindle into the new cast spindle assemble. Bolted the spindle assembly to the deck. Then put the spindle pulley on and tightened the spindle pulley nut. Replaced the blade assembly and the deck.

    Power Drill, Socket set, Adjustable Wrench

    1. Removed belt from mower deck.
    2. Removed cutting blade from spindle assembly.
    3. Removed pulley
    4. Removed four bolts from the spindle assembly.
    5. Cleaned area.
    6. Installed new spindle assembly using self tapping bolts.
    7. Installed spindle shaft.
    8. Installed pulley.
    9. Installed cutting blade.
    10. Installed belt to mower deck
    11. Started mowing!!

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set

    1 - Remove mower deck by taking three pins out and removing drive belt.
    2 - Remove top nut on pulley this was the hardest part to remove
    3 - Remove four bolts holding spindle to deck.
    4 - Clean area and install new spindle with four new bolts.
    5 - Install pulley making sure you have the nut tight.
    6 - Side deck back under mower and attack with three pins.

    Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set, Impact wrench and sockets. Hammer and chisel.

    1.Removed mower deck and prop deck with saw horses.
    2.Removed spindle cover.
    3.Removed pulley and blade from old spindle.
    4.Removed old spindle housing.
    5.Installed new spindle housing.
    6.Installed new spindle shaft.
    7.Reinstalled pulley and blade.
    8.Reinstall spindle cover.
    9.Reinstall deck.

    1 removed deck from DD5000 TORO Z-turn.
    2 removed broken spindel and blade.with socket wrench.
    3 bolted on new spindel
    4. lubed spindel bushings. replaced blade. sharpened all blades
    5. replaced deck
    6. put on belt DONE

    I had removed the deck and made several repairs to holes in the deck then I replaced the spindle and spindle mount. Then remounted the deck, connected the belts to drive pulleys and I was back mowing my four acres with a machine that runs better than new. Thank you
