I took out the old parts. The burners were the hardest to remove because the screws were rusted. I had to drill them out. Otherwise it went together very well. It was also tricky trying to plug in the new electrode, but I eventually got it. All the parts were exactly the same as the original at half the price as other stores or busin esses!!

1. Had to order parts twice since there was no way to replace the cross over tubes without replaceing the main burner tubes.
2. Had to drill out the screws holding the main burners then get an easy out. This alone took several hours and a few drill bits that were destroyed.

Two of the self tappingh screws were easily removed, but, the two were rotten and had to be drilled out. The new hardware utilizes a nut, bolt, washer configuration and once the attachment holes were enlarged, the hardware was assembled quite easily.

Total Repair Time:

Tools:
Pliers, Screw drivers
1. Removed all grill tops, tents 2. WD-40, tap, tap, tap, wait. 3. Tried Phillips on burner screws, no go. 4. Using vise-grips, removed screws on burners. 5. Removed screw and wire on electrode. 6. Pulled out entire assembly and trashed it. 7. Removed electrode assy, this was tricky. Unable to remove entirely, difficult to get new electrode wire attached to push button assy. Eventually was able to wiggle it onto the mount. 8. Cleaned out all the gunk under the old burners. 9. Mounted new burners and carryover tubes. 10. Attached new electrode to main burner. 11. Fired up to test burners and electrode. All was in working order. 12. Replaced tents and grill tops, ready to go! Took almost an hour to do the whole thing. Hardest part was the electrode, do not replace unless you really need to.
