Genuine Char-Broil replacement part, this item is sold individually. The purpose of the Heat Tent is to keep particles of food and debris from getting into the burners. They will also flavor the food you are grilling , because of the drippings falling on them and creating smoke.>br>The Heat Tents should be cleaned after grilling a few times, soap and water and a good scrub brush should do the job.

Burners and heat tents rusted

1 Removed the old burner and crossovers. Tried using a drill driver which only stripped the socket. Used vice drips to loosen the screws holding the main burners. Worked well.
2. Removed the entire units.
3. Replaced the main and crossovers with the new screws provided. (Lots of extra screws).
4 Put on new heat shields.
5 Scraped the grills with a painting knife, cleaned them with high pressure cleaner and put them back.
6 Turned it on, first time worked well. Let it burn for 15 minutes.
All done.

Rusted out heat tent and tubes

Removed old parts, cleaned inside of fire box, then replaced with new parts spent most of the time cleaning the grill.

All screws and parts were rusted and seared together

1. Had to order parts twice since there was no way to replace the cross over tubes without replaceing the main burner tubes.
2. Had to drill out the screws holding the main burners then get an easy out. This alone took several hours and a few drill bits that were destroyed.

Burner tubes, heat tents, carryover tubes corroded.

Remove the old corroded parts and replaced with the new parts. Hardest to change were the burner tubes because of the screw on each was badly corroded. Used vice grips to clamp on the screw heads and break loose. Then used common screwdriver to remove.

Burned out burner (1 of 4), rusted out carry over tubes, all 3, rusted out heat tents, 4.

Removed all old parts; vise grip pliers to remove old carry over tube screws. New tubes have new screws provided.
Remove igniter from old burner save old screws.
Remove screw from old burner, save screw.
Scrape and vacuum \"debris\" from grill bottom and sides.
Install new burner and original igniter. Tighten scr ews, turn on gas and test fire (good).
Install 3 new carry over tubes with provided hardware. Test all burners (good).
Install 4 heat tents.
Install original grill grates. Ready to go!

Removed heat grates, (no tools req\'d) took out old heat tents, (no tools req\'d) replaced heat tents, replaced heat grates, turned on propane, had hamburgers.
