    vincent - October 16, 2019 Verified Purchase
Parts worked on a 1998 42 inch Murray mower.
Pads fitted perfectly. The lever was rusted and broke in half. This lever was the closest I could find. Worked fine by installing it 180 degrees and finding a new place to hook the back spring.

Lifted the tractor up by the rear and removed the disc brake assembly. Cleaned the part including the pins that fall out when the pads are taken out. Then I found the disc was not sliding on the shaft (it needs to do that to let the pads to apply evenly then used. I cleaned the shaft and the inside of the disc so it would slide on the shaft). Reinstalled the caliper and adjusted the brake adjustment on the rod so it would apply when I wanted it to and allow the clutch to release.
