I didn't want a mess, so I removed fuel tank and drained oil, oil was old anyway
2- remove cover under deck by taking 2 bolts from top of deck
3- measure the space between mounting clamp and end of cable so you can put it approximately where it belongs.
4- remove old cable you will have to measure the distance at the top of the mower handle and the loosen bolt enough to get cable out of top clamp, you will turn plastic end of cable to release from mower handle
5- replace in same order, put top end on the feed cable back through hole in deck
Note: pay attention to routing of cable under the deck especially because you don't want to kink it or have it rubbing on belts or pulley, Photos with the smart phone before you tear it down will be helpful later...
