I broke the original feeder after attempting to "widen" the feeder by using a punch.

I ordered a replacement and removed the old feeder and installed the new one. The replacement I received had additional punch marks to "widen" it. Repair required removing one allen screw.

The nail magazine broke a small piece of the track. This allowed the nail feeder to slide out of the magazine. The spring then comically shot the parts across the room.

The nail feeder plate kept sliding up under the rack of nails and jamming in the track

    Time

    Tools Used

    , vice-grips

To get the feeder plate into the track a bracket had to be removed from the end of the track. I did not have the proper bit to remove the screw so I carefully used a set of vice grips to remove the bracket and do the repair. Be careful to not let the spring and yellow plastic cap fly across the room and get lost!
