Oster Pro has specifically made this Gear for use in many models of hair clippers for beauty, barber, and animals. This Gear is made of a composite plastic. This part is driven by the Armature and in turn is one of three parts that drive the cutting motion of the clipper blades. If too much tension is put on this gear, then it will strip out and will need to be replaced. This part is commonly purchased with the Lever (part number 0444946-005-000) and Clipper Grease (076300-105-005). When replacing this part, be sure to properly lubricate all moving parts.

Some clipper blades would pull hair that means the lever is bad.

Took the flathead screws off. Took the parts out by hand. Greased the new parts and put back together. Clippers are like new.
