I received this part for my clipper blade in a short time. It is exactly as pictured. Unfortunately it was not the solution to my problem. Now I have an extra for the future.

Clipper blade appeared to operate, but would bind easily whether dog recently bathed or not.

The Oster A-5 Turbo clipper is a good tool, but when the tip of the lever becomes worn, the blades will not cut wiry dog coat, nor anything else for that matter. Instead of buying a new blade, consider replacing the plastic lever. Remove two top screws, lift out the lever, and replace with new. Do not see need to replace the metal link, although the plastic gear does show some wear and will be a future purchase.

I removed the cover from the clipper and then removed the old lever. I then replaced it with the new lever and original cover. It was quick and easy, and the clipper works fine now.

Blade assembly would not latch in. (2 speed Oster A5 Turbo clippers) broken spring and loose screws sockets.

    Screwdriver, Loctite for screw sockets

First I found that the Latch Assembly screw sockets that hold the latch in place had pulled loose from the clippers aluminum housing. This issue caused the latch from pulling tight against the clipper housing. I wiped the surface clean and took some acetone or (you can use wife's finger nail polish remover) on Q-Tips and cleaned the hole. I took some Loctite and applied it to the hole and screw sockets and let it hardened well. Okay now, I took less than 10 minutes to install the parts purchased. The Parts worked and Clipper work great.

Note: I would check the screw sockets that hold the Latch Assembly in place (they should be flush with clipper housing). This has happened to me before so it might be happen to you.

    Oster Classic 76 motor noisy

    Kurt - March 29, 2019
As I'm sitting in the barber chair, I notice the clippers are very noisy. Mention it to my barber who tells me the only fix is replacing the clippers. I disagree and he gives them to me to bring home and check out.
    Disassembled clippers
Found motor end bushings worn, gears worn causing noise.
Purchased all bearings, seals, and gears.
Greased/oiled and reassembled, retested, that's one happy barber!

Please note, if the motor field does not come out of the housing easily, it will need to be pulled out using a small gear puller or other homemade puller tool.

No special instructions needed for installation.. It's nice that ereplacements has a diagram of the model... It could be a bit clearer but it did work.. I've had to use this site 3 or four times it is very useful.. I make money with my clippers it's good to be able to repair on my own and get back to business..
