Replaced muffler and gasket using information found on youtube.. I used plenty of penetrating oil (Blaster) so as not to break the bolts holding the old muffler on... It made the job a lot easier.

Muffler bolts broke off in cylinder head during removal of old muffler.

Gary - May 31, 2019
Tried to drill and easy-out old bolts unsuccessfully, had to drill out old muffler bolts completely. tapped boltholes out to M10X1.5 and inserted treaded bushing M6-1.0 X M10-1.5. cleaned up flange with emory wheel and installed new gasket, muffler, spark arrestor and plate, bolts, and muffler guard. Sounds and runs like a new mower. Not bat for a mower that's approx. 10 years old! Don't put em on the curb if the still run good folks! this route was much cheaper than a new mower!
