The Gas leak was fixed by realigning the float in the fuel bowl where Gasoline is held before entering the carburetor. The float is expected to stop the flow of gasoline from the tank when the bowl is full. Since it was stuck, fuel filled up the bowl, then filled up the carb, then filled up the air filter compartment, then filled up my garage floor.
Always buy an engine that has a "fuel cutoff valve."
ereplacementparts.com is wonderful. It has been my one stop shop for Illustrated Parts Breakdowns, maintenance manuals, and naturally the parts themselves. It is the first place I go when I have to work on engines.
