Grill stopped working - no light - after youtube search I discovered it could be either the controller, the element, or both.

Nutdriver, Gloves - because the grill was very dirty!

    1. Removed controller by using hands to pull it out
    2. Removed element by unscrewing 2 bolts, one on inside and one on outside using nut driver (9/16" I think??). Saved the nuts because the new element did not come with new ones.
    3. Cleaned bottom of grill including the drip pan - very dirty job!
    4. Inserted new element - had to finagle a bit, but got it - screwed the old nuts onto the bolts
    5. Inserted new controller by pushing it into the element
    6. Plugged it in to check - and it worked!

I removed the controller it just plugs into the heating element , then I removed two screws that hold the heating element in and replaced it with the new one it was a very easy task only took about 15 minutes and a lot cheaper than buying a new grill.
