This authentic manufacturer carbon brush set is a part of the motor assembly in angle grinders. It includes two brushes, each with lead wires. The brushes are responsible for transferring the electrical current to the armature, and this allows the motor to operate. Over time, it is common for carbon brushes to wear down due to friction, aging, and frequent usage. A worn-out brush will not be able to make contact with the armature and send the electrical current needed for starting. The carbon brushes will need to be replaced if the angle grinder shows reduced power output, or complete motor failure, and you have ruled out all other motor-related issues. Begin the repair by unplugging the angle grinder from the power source. Locate the brush holders on the side of the motor housing and carefully remove the brush holders. Remove the faulty brushes from the holders and position the new ones in their place. Reinstall the brush holders back into the motor housing. Check that there is adequate contact between the brushes and the armature.
