All the parts I needed, easy repair
I made the mistake of hitting a piece of metal with a Dewalt chainsaw. The chain popped off so I replaced it however I could not adjust the tension of the chain. That is when I discovered that the adjuster broke as well. The parts I ordered had all of the parts in one package. Easy to replace and chainsaw back in action.

First removed the cover completely to expose the adjuster assembly for easy access, then removed the chain adjuster that had a broken shaft. Replaced with the new adjuster kit that included a new shaft , gears, and corresponding bolt hardware. The online DeWalt diagrams and parts details from this site were absolutely critical to the success of this repair. The necessary parts were delivered quickly and well packaged. I will use this site again for its professionalism and user friendly information.

Parts Used
Remove cover screws with torx bit, then remove cover, chain and bar. Take out broken adjuster assembly and install new heavier duty assembly. Reassemble bar, chain and cover. Easy!
