The part arrived as scheduled. I replaced the old part with the new one, but then I noticed there was another piece in the plastic bag. I have no idea what that part is or where it's supposed to fit. The mower ran for about 10 minutes then it died and wouldn't restart. So the bottom line is that the service was excellent, but I would have liked to know where the other part is supposed to go. Maybe a diagram of how the two parts fit together. Anyway, I'm still working on it.

This mower belongs to my brother. Somehow, he broke the vane and lost the spring. And, it would not start. It was obvious that the vane was broken, so I ordered the part from ereplacementparts.com. After watching a YouTube video, it was easy to install. The video was instrumental in showing how to set the limits for the vane. However, the mower would not start. Adding a little gasoline to the carburetor made it run for a couple of seconds, but it would not stay running. So, I brought it to a guy who fixes mowers as a side job. He cleaned the carburetor, drained the tank, and filled it with fresh gasoline. It smoked a little in the beginning, but now runs fine. By the way, the YouTube video was produced by a regular guy, with no affiliation to any company.
