    Removed the recoil shroud, use a nut driver to detach the fuel tank and disconnect the fuel line. Replaced and reassembled.

    Removed the two bolts and the fuel hose, swapped the tank with the new on. Secured the bolts and the hose.

    Removed a few screws. Pulled off the fuel line. Pulled off the old tank, put on the new. Replaced the screws and the fuel line. Back in business!

    Drained tank, removed fuel line, removed tank, replaced tank, reattached fuel line, filled tank and tested.

    My tank had a leak

    I had the old tank off already so it didn't take long to replace it.
    Put the new one on the engine
    I hooked up the fuel line
    checked for leaks
    found none so I was very happy.
    No special instructions were needed

    Gas tank had burst which was molded to engine cover

    Popped off fly wheel cover with flat blade screwdriver
    Used socket set to loosen 3 screws around cover over flywheel
    Used socket set to remove bolt on back of motor holding cover to engine block
    Pliers used to remove fuel line clamp from tank nozzle
    Pulled entire cover straight up over engine then went back in reverse order with new part
