I had to use the variable controller from old switch & the reverse switch from the new switch since the resistance of the new variable controller was too high. Took me a while to realize this discrepancy. Had to literally cut the old reverse switch from the old switch & file old variable controller to proper size. The new reverse switch popped off relatively easy. Then had to glue the two together (old variable with new reverse). It's still better than spending $190.

2. Take pic of wire locations and colors
3.Used a safety pin, insert into tiny round hole next to each wire. This will release the wires, pull them out one at a time.
4. Remove old switch and install new one.
5. Look at pic and press wires into correct location.
6. Install handle cover and star screws.
7. Test

2. Removed old switch and electronic assy.
3. Found the A & B points on your switch opposite the online instructions for AC input.
4. Tested drill works great.
