Tool Type

Circular Saw

Difficulty

Easy

Time

Less than 15 minutes

Tools Used

Screwdriver

With other work interruptions it took me longer to remove all of the screws holding the tool together than it took to replace the switch and power supply, put it all back together and another $200.00 tool was back in operation, about 15 minutes was all I needed.

Screwdriver, Pliers, Adjustable Wrench

1-remove retention washer and nut from fence adjustment lever
2-Loosen screws to remove dust cover
3-loosen the 3 small flathead screws from existing switch one at a time, take note what wires go to what contact (or in my case I removed one at a time and attached to new switch before removing and attaching next wires from contact until old switch was no longer connected and new switch was completely connected to wires)
4-put back together screws in dust cover until it’s very tight and sealed
5-replace but then retention washer on fence adjustment lever (be sure to check lever setting will work to tighten and loosen w/out coming down past the fence before Re-attaching retention washer)
6-enjoy Makita greatness
7-GET BACK TO WORK 😂

IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH EREPLACEMENT PARTS, I have no mechanical or electrical skills and repair only took 15 mins)
