This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Troy-Bilt trimmers. The special short block assembly is a complete replacement motor and includes the crankcase, crankshaft, piston, cylinder, flywheel, armature magneto, and spark plug. This short block is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.

    Did a complete tear down of the Troy-Bilt 225 tiller engine. Put the new short block on and reassembled with the new carburetor. Everything went extremely good.

    Basically you need to remove all of the parts from the trimmer engine, until all you have left is the short block. You can take pictures as you go or line the parts up in the order that you took them off. I sound like a big deal, but it's treaty easy to do. Then reverse order on the rebuild
