Thanks
Professional repairman (I say in jest) had lost the chain tensioner, protection plate, and broken anti vibe element, so I decided to fix it, along with installing new ring and honing out jug.

2. Lightly honed out jug and used very fine emery cloth to smooth piston.
3. Removed ring and cleaned groove.
4. Used regular 2-3" pipe clamp as ring squeezer and slid piston back into jug. Torqued it down.
5. Reinstalled everything I had taken out to get jug off.
6. Installed new air valve I had also received from replacement parts.
7. Installed antivibe element.
8. Put it all back together, installing chain tensioner and protection plate as I went.
9. Took a while to get the high and low idles in the proper place, but once I did, the old Husqvarna 266 xp ran and cut large logs like it was new again.
