First: the on/off is the same on either side of the switch...if it is plugged in to the wall, the motor is running. I have been using a floor/foot switch and don't remember if this is the way it's supposed to be.
Next, the tank will fill fine but will not shut itself off when reaching full pressure. The safety valve eventually blows and the motor keeps running. I suspect the pressure switch but it seems none are available.
