Product Description ?

This is a specially designed replacement part made for use with air compressors. It is supplied directly from original manufacturer and it is sold individually. The pressure switch helps to control when compressor should start or stop building up pressure. Commonly if your air compressor is not turning off and on at the specified pressure, replacing pressure switch should resolve the issue. Please note this pressure switch is only designed to work with 120V.

You would need a set of wrenches, nut driver set and a thread-sealing tape to complete this repair.

• First make sure to unplug air compressor
• Drain the air tank
• Remove the tank pressure gauge
• Disconnect the pressure switch tube
• Remove the pressure regulator assembly
• Disconnect the wires
• Remove the safety valve
• Remove the old pressure switch
• Install the new one
• Reassemble and test the unit

Questions & Answers for Pressure Switch (4 Port)

I have a Craftsman air compressor and it continues to loose pressure 3 or 4 times a day. This has been going on for a couple of months. I have 1) replaced the regulator, 2) applied OATEY Gas leak detector on every connection I could locate, 4) checked the air filter, 5) emptied/checked the air tank for water, and 6) listened for some sound for an air leak. I do not know what would be the next step unless the pressure switch could be the cculprit. Anything you can suggest would be helpful.
James for model number 919.167320 asked on 2023-10-22
Hello James, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the pressure switch next. Good luck with your repair.
    eReplacementParts Team October 22, 2023
this is an old compressor. It worked fine. The next time I tried to use it, it would not start. I am assuming that since there is power, and nothing else has changed that the pressure switch has failed. Is this a reasonable assumption?
Fred for model number 919.167312 asked on 2022-05-11
Hello Fred, Thank you for your inquiry. The pressure switch is designed to activate the compressor motor at a pre-set pressure, and to de-activate the motor once that pressure has been reached. Common symptoms of a faulty pressure switch include a motor that continues to run (regardless of pressure) until the safety valve opens, or a compressor that simply will not turn on at all. We would also recommend checking the safety valve as well, part# D20114. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
